Urban Warfare Consulting

Urban Warfare Consulting Leadership: Adam Harmon

Having conducted hundreds of counter-terror operations and having initiated successful

change management initiatives at leading global corporations, Harmon has a proven track

record as an urban warfare expert – whether he’s carrying a Glock or an iPhone.

With over 17 years of experience with the Israeli military - initially with an elite paratrooper

unit and later with a Special Operations reserve unit - Harmon has a deep understanding

of Israeli military selection processes, training methods, and decision-making structures.

As a leading expert on the Israeli military and current events in the Middle East, Harmon has

lectured at universities across the country. He has been a featured guest on dozens of national

television and radio programs - from CNN, Fox, and NPR news programs to Larry King Live and

Laura Ingraham.

In 2006, Random House published a memoir of his experiences with the IDF between 1990-2003,

entitled Lonely Soldier: Memoir of an American in the Israeli Army. Publishers Weekly gave it a

Starred Review and called it "An illuminating account of a much-covered conflict...for anyone

who wants a look behind the daily headlines."

Providing consulting services to the US military since 2003, Harmon has lectured on Israeli

best practices and management structures to members of the defense and intelligence community.

He has participated in the US Army’s premiere war game, Unified Quest, lectured at US military

conferences, and provided consulting services to RAND.

As a thought-leader and successful marketing executive, Harmon has worked for leading global

brands like IBM, Microsoft, Panasonic, Cisco, Sun Microsystems, Adobe, and HP. In addition to

his award-winning work, he has played a leading role in change management initiatives that have

dramatically increased productivity, boosted profitability, and made companies more competitive.

Harmon’s research on human performance, decade of corporate experience with leading

global corporations, over fifteen years serving with elite IDF units, and deep understanding

of the US military give him a unique perspective and insight that enables him to help

organizations become more adaptive and competitive.
